【What Is LINK Waiting For?】

Trading volume is this low—honestly, I kind of want to laugh.

Not at the market, but at myself: seeing things like this makes my hands start itching to jump in again. But itchy hands aside, I really haven’t bought in this time. Why? Read on.

First, my take: over the next 7 days, LINK is more likely to trade sideways, with a slight➡️upward bias. It’s not that I’m especially bullish on it; this price level is just really awkward.

First reason: valuation. $ 11.97, down 77% from its historical high. That kind of drop would be called “oversold” for pretty much any major coin. But here’s the question: does a big drop guarantee a rebound? Back in 2017, I saw way too many coins that had “fallen enough” only to get cut in half again. A low valuation is a necessary condition, not a sufficient one.

Second reason: trading volume. This is the key point. What does persistently low volume tell us? It means nobody wants to make a move at this level. Buyers are waiting for lower prices, sellers are waiting for a bounce, and both sides are locked in a stalemate. What’s the biggest risk in this situation? A sudden piece of news that breaks the deadlock. Without an external catalyst, it’ll just keep grinding sideways.

Third reason: sentiment. The Fear and Greed Index is at 53, with a weekly average of 58—basically a “whatever” kind of mood. Seasoned crypto traders know that Neutral sentiment is the most grueling: people aren’t panicked enough to sell at a loss, nor excited enough to chase a rally. Everyone’s just watching.

At this point, someone’s going to ask: “So tell us, what would make you think your call was wrong?”

Okay, I’ll be direct: if LINK breaks below the $ 11 support, the sideways pattern is broken, and it could head below $ 10. If it rises above $ 13, that means someone’s making a move, and it might be worth following along. I’m not going to say “how high it can go,” and don’t ask me.

One last honest thought: I believe in LINK’s business fundamentals. Chainlink really does have a moat in the oracle space. But believing in it doesn’t mean I’m going to take a big position right now. This market has never played by the rules; people who expect it to make sense are just exit liquidity—that’s something I learned back in 2017, and it still holds true.

What’s your mindset right now? Are you willing to make a move this time? Or are you like me—saying you’re just watching, while your hands are already itching to jump in?
