A blockchain research firm has just compiled the complete data: from July 1 to October 16, TRON saw its TRX token supply increase every single day for 108 consecutive days. Even though stablecoin settlement volume topped $2.2 trillion in the third quarter, net issuance still reached 148 million tokens. This contrast directly punctures many people’s fixation on public-chain economics. Deep down, people tend to assume that the more frenzied on-chain transfers get and the more aggressively fees are burned, the scarcer the token should become. But TRON’s reusable staking model for bandwidth and energy masks the real cost of transfers. Moving large amounts of U barely triggers enough actual burns, while block rewards paid to validators steadily produce new tokens every day. Quarterly settlement volume rose 5%, and the circulating supply expanded slightly too. At the end of the day, settling dollar payments is one business; token inflation and deflation are another matter entirely. Anyone imagining that astronomical transfer figures will cause the token supply to plunge should wake up.
