I dug up the PEPE that surged more than 1,000x in 2023, just to answer one question: are the people who bought it earliest still around?

Starting from the block where the contract was deployed, I scanned backward transaction by transaction to find the 20 earliest real human wallets that bought in. I excluded the contract, the pool, and the deployer, leaving 20 real people.

19 have gone inactive. The longest-inactive wallet hasn’t made a transfer in 1,281 days—it bought in and never opened its wallet again. Another was a bot: 0 seconds between two transactions. You simply can’t beat that.

Only 1 of the 20 is still actively trading.

Its last transaction was on October 3. It made 50 transfers in the past 30 days, averaging 28 hours between them. Nobody knows who it is, but the pattern doesn’t lie: a person is trading manually, not a script.

What has it been buying lately? 8 transactions for ODYSSEY, 4 for ALPHA, and one each for GLAMDOG, SUPRA, and BONE—all tokens with tiny market caps and names most people haven’t heard of.

I’m not saying, “follow its trades.” Getting in early isn’t rare at all. Of the people who bought PEPE earliest, 95% didn’t go on to achieve anything. What’s truly rare is being one of the 5% still at the table three years later.

All these records are publicly available on-chain, and I scanned them transaction by transaction without using any paid tools.
