People who watch the data never complain about the market.

$BTC didn’t fall, but MSTR fell 9% first

On October 16, Strategy (MSTR) fell about 9.8% in a single day, closing near $136.50. On the same day, BTC was trading at $81,862.34, up 0.33% over 24 hours. One was down nearly double digits, while the other barely moved. That divergence is data in itself.
The trigger wasn’t the price of crypto. MSCI is preparing to tighten its rules for index inclusion, and companies that hold large amounts of digital assets and operate in a way that resembles a fund could be removed from some global indexes. If that happens, passive funds tracking those indexes would be forced to sell MSTR—a company-level liquidity event, not a BTC pricing event. The market has directly translated “a company hoarding crypto gets shunned by indexes” into “BTC is being abandoned.” That leap in reasoning is too...

Technically, BTC is currently in an uptrend, and traders should watch key levels in the short term.
