🧠 OVERCOMING TRADING ADDICTION | 04/45
🎰 SOMETIMES A WINNING TRADE THAT HAPPENED BY LUCK IS MORE DANGEROUS THAN A LOSING TRADE!
Sounds absurd, right? If you win at trading, you should be happy—so how could it be dangerous?
Imagine this...
You see a coin climbing fast. You don’t analyze it much or have a specific plan, but you decide to jump in anyway.
A few minutes later, the price keeps rising. You take profit and pocket a decent amount.
How do you feel then?
😎 I was right! The market isn’t that hard after all!
And that’s when the trap begins.
Your brain has just been rewarded for an undisciplined decision. That can make you want to repeat the behavior, feel even more confident, and increase the size of your trades.
But the truth is: A profitable trade isn’t necessarily a good trade.
💡 I’m learning to tell the difference between two things:
✅ A good trade: Planned, risk-managed, and consistent with your rules. Even if it loses, it can still be the right decision.
❌ A bad trade: Entered emotionally, with no risk control. Even if it wins, it may still be a mistake disguised by luck.
Sometimes the market rewards mistakes with money and makes us pay for the right decisions.
So if you judge yourself only by the profit or loss after each trade, it’s easy to learn the wrong lesson.
🎯 What I want to change isn’t finding a way to win every trade, but stopping lucky wins from making me overconfident.
Because a winning trade can bring in money.
But a bad habit reinforced over and over can cost you much more than that.
