Kevin Boon is now CEO of Mysten Labs, the team behind $SUI . Evan Cheng moves to CTO and will lead a new AI division building agent-trust products and AI-native infrastructure.
This isn't an exit. Cheng is staying and putting his focus on AI.
The Verifiable Agent Arbiter with Google Cloud is the first concrete product signal. It's designed to record what an AI agent was authorized to do and what it actually did, with proofs stored on Walrus and verification on Sui.
Sui also posted a 40.6M TPS record at Basecamp, though the independent CertiK review isn't out yet.
My take: Mysten is betting the next wave of on-chain activity comes from agents, not just people. It's a bet, not a guarantee.
I'll be watching for real usage of the agent products, not just announcements.
