Circle was forced to open its books this time 😅
Revenue in the first half was about $1.4 billion
Sounds like a lot, right?
But once you break it down, it looks less impressive

$819 million went to distribution partners and transaction costs
That’s 59%
$473 million went back into licensing, banking, compliance, and product
Another 34%
For every $1 in revenue, only about 7 cents was left as net profit

Why suddenly be so transparent?
New players are all saying they can share most of the returns
Circle might as well say it outright:
If you give it all away, who’s going to keep this whole operation running?

In the first half, $USDC processed over $36 trillion in on-chain transactions
In June, it accounted for about 77% of global stablecoin trading volume
Compared with just 60% in the same period last year

Personally, I think the numbers add up
The stablecoin race isn’t about who promises to share more anymore
It’s about who can handle the hard stuff: redemptions, compliance, and liquidity

But they still haven’t told us everything 👀
How much of that $819 million really went to partners, and how much was costs?
They didn’t break it down—that leaves room for doubt

Who do you trust more: established players that invest heavily
or new stablecoins promising bigger revenue shares?
