🚨 Mysten Labs changed its CEO. The more interesting move is what comes next for AI agents.

Kevin Boon will become CEO of the company behind Sui, while co-founder Evan Cheng moves to CTO and leads a newly established AI business unit.

This isn't just an executive reshuffle.

Mysten is dedicating engineering and product resources to AI-agent trust and infrastructure.

One example is Verifiable Agent Arbiter, developed with Google Cloud.

Its design keeps detailed agent records in customer-controlled Google Cloud Storage while storing cryptographic proofs on Walrus and coordinating them on Sui.

The objective is to help businesses verify that autonomous agents acted within authorized limits.

Why does this matter?

AI agents are increasingly expected to execute tasks, handle information and interact with financial systems. Businesses need more than a promise that an agent behaved correctly—they need evidence.

But don't confuse the announcement with proven adoption. Initial enterprise deployments are planned before broader availability.

The next test is whether businesses actually deploy these tools and generate sustained activity across the ecosystem.

Could verifiable AI agents become a meaningful use case for Sui and Walrus?

Not financial advice.
