The short trade paid off yesterday, so today we need to be more cautious.
Yesterday, the 16th, Ran’s trading group called an ETH short around 2,470, with an add-on at 2,491, a stop-loss at 2,510, and a target range of 2,410–2,460. The market has already reached that range.
The trade I took during yesterday’s livestream also paid off. Those of you who watched along should know.
I won’t say much more about the trades—they were posted in advance and there’s a record, so you can check for yourselves.
Let’s talk about today.
The market has fallen pretty hard over the past couple of days, and many people are now wondering again: should they buy the dip or keep shorting?
In my view, the last thing you need to do at this level is rush.
For BTC, first see whether 80,000 can hold as support. Unless it gets back above 82,000–83,000, it’s hard to call the short-term outlook strong.
Same goes for ETH. First watch for support around 2,400. If it rebounds to 2,460–2,490 but can’t push higher, then the structure is still weak.
But chasing shorts now may not offer a comfortable entry either. If I were to short, I’d rather wait for a rebound to give me a better entry than jump in after watching the price fall.
That’s how range trading works: entry matters more than direction.
We already caught the move yesterday, so there’s no need to trade today just for the sake of trading.
Are you still holding short positions, or are you getting ready to buy the dip?
