This morning’s market action was nerve-racking 🔥. BTC plunged straight below 81,000, while ETH dipped to the 2,400 level. Altcoins got dragged down across the board, with SOL, XRP, and others all falling.

According to Coinglass data, $157 million in positions were liquidated across the market over the past four hours, the vast majority of them longs. Bulls took a heavy hit. There’s plenty of pressure on the macro front too: Brent crude surged to $112, stoking inflation worries again, the S&P 500 fell more than 1%, and Strategy’s stock plunged nearly 10%. Weakness in the BTC-heavy giant has added another layer of concern to the market.

Trump talked about Russia-Ukraine and oil prices, saying oil prices would come back down soon. But geopolitical risks remain in the short term, and volatility in commodities will continue to spill over into crypto. The market is showing a classic risk-off move in tandem with U.S. equities, and safe-haven sentiment is picking up.

High oil prices mean it will be difficult for the Fed to truly ease monetary policy. Until that liquidity tap is turned on, the crypto market will be stuck fighting over existing capital—or even drifting lower on declining volume.

In a nutshell: oil prices are the anchor, liquidity is lifeblood, and crypto doesn’t get to tell its own story right now.

The ETH/BTC ratio has fallen nearly 20% this year, as institutional funds have clearly been concentrating in Bitcoin. Inflows back into Ethereum ETFs have been far weaker than those into BTC ETFs. Solana has shown some signs of life in the RWA sector, with ecosystem TVL climbing to around $2.5 billion, but liquidity across the altcoin market remains tight. JPMorgan put it plainly in a report last week: unless DeFi and on-chain activity recover meaningfully, it will be hard to change the pattern of ETH and altcoins underperforming Bitcoin.

The 80,000–81,500 range is the cost basis for many ETF holders. If the market closes below it, confirming a breakdown, stop-loss selling could come crashing down like an avalanche. For ETH, 2,250–2,300 is the zone where real support will be tested. If it doesn’t hold, 2,200 comes into view.

Don’t rush to buy the dip right now, and especially don’t use leverage. We’re in an emotionally driven sell-off phase. Prices may look low, but the support below isn’t necessarily solid. If you’re heavily positioned, consider trimming on a rebound around 2,450–2,480—don’t try to tough it out. If you’re lightly positioned, wait for a clear sign that BTC has found a floor around 80,000, then consider scaling in gradually rather than going all in. Altcoins aren’t the main battlefield right now: liquidity is too poor, making it easy to get in and hard to get out. $SOL #比特币回升至8.2万美元
