ChainCatcher reports, citing The Defiant, that perpetual contracts for SEI, the native token of the Sei network, are now trading on OG.com Markets. The exchange is operated by the North American Derivatives Exchange (Nadex) and regulated by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), providing U.S. investors with a compliant way to gain leveraged exposure to SEI. Sei said this is “another compliant way to access SEI.”

The exchange self-certified the contract on October 8, and it is listed as a certified product in the CFTC’s product registry. It was originally scheduled to be listed on October 12. Trade records from October 16 show two trades of 100 SEI each at 4:54 a.m. Eastern Time that day. The contract is USD-settled and has no expiration date, allowing traders to maintain long or short positions without rolling them over. Customers must access it through a CFTC-registered futures commission merchant or an introducing broker affiliated with one.

Each contract represents 1 SEI, and the minimum trade size is 100 contracts. Trading is available around the clock. Funding payments between longs and shorts are calculated every eight hours, with a maximum rate of 2% per period. They are intended to keep futures prices aligned with the CF Sei-Dollar Spot Rate administered by CF Benchmarks. Contracts are settled twice daily, at noon and 5 p.m. Eastern Time. Traders must post risk-based initial margin in U.S. dollars. An exchange notice states that initial margin for its crypto perpetual contract product line ranges from 15% to 30%.
