Key events from the economic calendar on October 16 that matter to the crypto market.

The main event of the day took place early this morning: a speech by Fed Chair Warsh, which we covered. For now, it seems to be somewhat positive for risk assets, though only conditionally so. Warsh simply didn’t say what their plans are and made it clear that, overall, nothing out of the ordinary has happened at the Fed since its September meeting.

The Eurozone inflation data for September have also been released: headline and core Consumer Price Indices (important for assessing the global inflation situation and because of the euro’s role in calculating the US Dollar Index, DXY). The increase was in line with forecasts.

Schedule for the rest of the day:

- 15:30 Kyiv and Moscow time / 17:30 Astana time - US Import Price Index and Export Price Index for September. Important for assessing external inflationary pressure.

- 16:15 Kyiv and Moscow time / 18:15 Astana time - US industrial production for September. Important for assessing the state of the industrial sector and the risks of an economic slowdown.

- 21:00 Kyiv and Moscow time / 23:00 Astana time - US federal budget execution report (September).
