Russia is shutting down P2P crypto trading

Not immediately
It starts on July 1, 2027

The Russian Central Bank's website puts it plainly
Residents can buy and sell cryptocurrency
only through licensed brokers
or trading platforms registered with the Central Bank

Direct crypto exchanges between individuals
aren't on the list of permitted transactions

In other words, this isn't a crypto ban
It's pushing all trading through official channels

What I'm more curious to see is
whether regulated platforms
will absorb this wave of activity
