U.S. Federal Reserve (Fed) Chair Kevin Warsh delivered a noteworthy speech on Friday at the 2026 annual meetings of the IMF and World Bank in Bangkok, Thailand. He observed that G20 economies were proving far more resilient than expected in the face of a series of geopolitical shocks, and affirmed that the U.S. economy would emerge stronger from this period.

The Fed chief’s optimistic message is an important signal that policymakers do not see an imminent risk of recession, even as the monetary tightening cycle continues. His assessment of the economy’s resilience further strengthens the case for the Fed to maintain a restrictive monetary policy for longer in order to bring inflationary pressures firmly under control.

For traditional financial markets, this view continues to keep U.S. Treasury yields and the U.S. dollar elevated. Rising capital costs could put pressure on risk assets such as equities, which may face short-term volatility and pullbacks as expectations of policy easing are pushed further out.

The crypto market and $BTC are expected to remain in a cautious accumulation phase as global liquidity shows no signs of expanding rapidly again. Even so, a resilient U.S. economy will provide long-term support, helping institutional capital remain steady rather than panic and flee in a sell-off.
