Yesterday was terrifying. I entered six #ALPHA competitions at the same time, and it was exhausting. For the first time, my daily alpha trading volume reached 1.05 million (20 trading-volume points). By the end, I felt completely disoriented. See picture 1.
Especially since my data analysis tool broke down last night, I had to rely entirely on experience. Luckily, things turned out pretty well: zest made the cut without a hitch, steady as a rock, and CT made it too.
The six competitions were [zest Season 1 Sprint, stable Season 1, zest Season 2 Day 1, #BStocks Binance Wallet Trading Competition, dgai Season 1, and CT Season 2 Final Sprint]. They all overlapped.
dgai had quadruple points on its final day yesterday, so I went for it. This competition won’t be easy in the end, so I suggest not jumping on the bandwagon.
I missed the early-bird multiplier for zest Season 2 Day 1. Nothing I can do about that, but there’s still time today.
$STABLE finally had liquidity yesterday, but I was in too much of a hurry and got badly sandwiched. Looking back at the numbers, I stubbornly put up with 3.3/10,000 in slippage before 21:00; after 21:00, I lowered it to 2.4/10,000. Hopefully things won’t get too competitive on the last day today.
One thing worth mentioning: the US stock task in the wallet was much easier than I expected—it went so smoothly, and the final slippage was less than 1.2/10,000. But there’s a trick to it; if you get it wrong, you could end up losing badly. The two most important things are: set slippage to the minimum, choose pools that have liquidity instead of looking for thrills and farming anything and everything, and don’t do it during market hours. I already did Nvidia $NVDAB and Apple APPLB.
Any other hardworking veterans of alpha like me? I used to care a lot about people criticizing me, but now I don’t mind. A bit of scolding helps keep me clear-headed. That’s right, I’m still a happy little seal, and I wish everyone happiness every day. 👻👻
