Overall, the market is staging a small, gradual rebound today. Yesterday’s sharp wick-up and reversal left plenty of people sweating: Bitcoin briefly plunged below 80,000, but buyers managed to claw it back, and it’s now hovering around 82,000. It’s up, sure, but the rally still feels a little shaky.

The macro environment still has the market by the throat. CPI and PPI both came in hotter than expected. Although the probability of a rate hike has fallen from 49%, nerves are still frayed. With $929 million in leveraged positions liquidated, including $777 million in long positions, this hardly looks like a reversal. It’s more like a breather after short covering and panic selling. ETF funds are still flowing out, and institutions haven’t returned to buy the dip. The Fear and Greed Index jumped from 53 to 63, putting it in “Greed” territory—but don’t be fooled by the number: sentiment recovering and a trend reversal are two different things.

There’s a clear split between sectors, with money shifting from Meme coins toward projects with a stronger narrative.
AI, DePIN, and Layer 2 are among the narrative-driven sectors showing strength, with quite a few coins surging by double digits in a single day. INJ and STRK have rallied hard, while CRV (DeFi) is up more than 7% over the past 24 hours. As the chart shows, there’s been a short-term rebound. Meme and CeFi are the exceptions, both looking weak, as funds clearly rotate away from speculative dog coins and into more established narrative-driven sectors.

The broader backdrop is still full of storm clouds. The Fed’s October policy meeting is approaching, and interest rates are likely to stay high. Treasury yields are soaring. On top of that, geopolitical tensions in the Middle East have sent oil prices sharply higher, while the U.S. dollar index remains strong—all of which is weighing on risk assets. There are also major token unlocks this month, including SUI and EIGEN, posing a significant risk of selling pressure. For now, the market is mostly existing capital moving around in search of hot spots.

As for trading, don’t get carried away chasing prices higher. AI is the sector in the spotlight right now, but you could wait for a pullback before picking out the stronger names. For an established DeFi player like CRV, keep a close eye on support around 0.33–0.34 in the short term; if it holds, you could consider holding on. In this market, managing position sizes is crucial. Keep some cash on hand and wait for the Fed’s decision before making your next move.

The play right now is “light on the index, heavy on sectors.” As long as Bitcoin holds steady, the rest comes down to whose story is most compelling. At these levels, it’s better to miss an opportunity than make a bad trade. Protecting your principal and waiting for a genuine right-side signal is the way to go. $BNB #美国9月PPI年率升至6.3%
