As we get older,
our possessions, thoughts, and everything else keep adding up,
while simple happiness is the one thing that keeps diminishing.
I often wish I could go back to being a child,
back when
one game of ping-pong,
watching ants all afternoon,
cuddling a cat for a nap,
touching my deskmate’s hand during class...
were enough to make me happy.
As we grow up,
it seems to get harder and harder to feel content.
The things our elders are always telling us—grow up, mature, be sensible...
Are they really right?
Is there really anything wrong with staying childish forever?
