Unstaking Phantom Staked SOL (PSOL) can leave you with a native stake to withdraw, rather than spendable SOL.

Under Phantom's existing rules, the normal exit uses reserve liquidity to return SOL immediately. If that reserve is insufficient, your PSOL converts into a native SOL stake instead. You then have to unstake and withdraw it manually. A 0.1% exit fee applies to PSOL unstaking.

For that fallback, open Solana in Phantom, find the account under Native Stakes → Other, and choose Unstake. Phantom says native unstaking typically takes 2 to 3 days. Once the account shows Inactive, choose Withdraw Stake to bring the SOL back into your wallet. Waiting alone doesn't complete the withdrawal.

If you're unstaking to fund a payment or an exchange transfer, check whether you received liquid SOL or a stake account. The fallback adds both a wait and a second action before those funds can move.
