$PYTH : A project from 2024, providing oracle services in the SOL ecosystem. I first started paying attention to it because it had been accumulating near the bottom for almost a year, and the daily chart was also showing a clear upward trend with increasing volume. During these several major market-wide crashes, PYTH has followed the market up but not down. Clearly, there is capital supporting the price, and its trend has been very steady. Most importantly, the MACD has formed a golden cross on the monthly chart.
On top of that, there’s been a very strong bullish catalyst recently: the Pyth DAO passed a proposal to use 100% of revenue to buy back tokens. [This is also why PYTH has been so strong in the short term.]
However, PYTH’s focus is no longer on on-chain operations. It has shifted toward institutional services [exchanges, market makers, and the CFTC]. In other words, PYTH no longer sees itself as an oracle project—it’s transforming.
But where will it go from here? Here are a few key points:
① For token holders:
Bullish: OIS (oracle-completed staking) rewards have been stopped and replaced with revenue-funded buybacks.
Bearish: Stakers have lost a source of rewards; monthly emissions still exceed buybacks, so the supply hasn’t yet begun to shrink.
② With Trump’s midterm elections approaching and the current market environment being poor, I personally think SOL could fall to around 95, which would be a good entry point. As an ecosystem altcoin, I’d recommend looking to buy PYTH in the 0.075–0.072 range.
These are just my personal views and do not constitute investment advice!
