A recent review of development updates for $DOGE found three maintenance actions at the core client level: first, a community testing call in 2026-09, inviting Japanese speakers and macOS users to help test upcoming Dogecoin Core improvements; second, a description of Core’s role as ongoing maintenance focused on security and performance; and third, release notes for the previous maintenance version pointing to a fix for a vulnerability in some legacy inherited code. All three concern client maintenance and do not imply changes to the main-chain protocol rules (sources: CoinMarketCap, “Dogecoin Latest Updates,” 2026-10; GitHub dogecoin/dogecoin release history).
