pancakeswap wants to give LPs 88% of the fees.
PancakeSwap’s core team has proposed “The Flip,” a governance plan that would allocate 88% of trading fees from v3 and Infinity liquidity pools to LPs across all 11 supported chains.
The proposal also aims to cut daily $Cake emissions from 22,500 to 7,000 tokens a 69% reduction.
I like the direction of the discussion: reward the people providing liquidity while reducing token emissions. But the real test is whether the change attracts more sustainable liquidity and trading activity, not just better-looking tokenomics.
The proposal is still under community discussion and would later go to a Snapshot vote.
Less token inflation, more fees for LPs. But will the liquidity actually stick around?
