$BTC The first move above EMA20 happened on 10-12, and the signal candle is now in place. But by the 10-13 close, BTC had held above it for just 1 candle.
【How the signal formed】
Before 10-12, BTC had closed below EMA20 for 4 consecutive daily candles. On 10-12, it closed above EMA20 for the first time. That candle was the signal candle, and it left two key levels:
High: 84,199 — confirmation level
Low: 82,805 — invalidation level
【Where things stand now】
As of the 10-13 close:
Closed at 83,169, with EMA20 at 83,160. This is the 1st candle above EMA20, and the confirmation level at 84,199 is still 1.2% away.
【Two levels, two possible outcomes】
Upward: A daily close above 84,199 would confirm the breakout. The next reference level above is the 20-day high at 87,220.
Downward: A close back below 83,160 invalidates the breakout. A drop below 82,805 would break the entire pullback structure, meaning we’d have to wait for the next signal.
【The real thing worth watching is how the same batch of signals diverges】
BTC wasn’t the only asset to complete an EMA20 breakout over the past two days. $ENA and $AVAX also crossed above at the same time, but by the 10-13 close, both had spent their second candle back below the EMA20, at -5.7% and -2.0% from the EMA20, respectively.
The same signal pattern, three different outcomes. A signal is only an entry qualification, not a reason to enter. What determines success is whether price can hold above the EMA20 after crossing it—BTC held for one candle, while ENA and AVAX didn’t hold it for even one.
What I’m doing now: no adding to my position; I’ll wait for the close to give me an answer at 84,199. The 1.2% of room in between isn’t worth betting on.

Do you think 84,199 will be reclaimed by the close this week, or will price first pull back toward 82,805 to regroup?
