One comment from Williams, and the market rushed to rally 😅

New York Fed President Williams said
he doesn’t think there’ll be any need to raise rates again in 2027
Bitcoin rose 1.5% during the Asian session
briefly nearing $83,900

But after reading his exact words, I couldn’t help but laugh
He also said
another hike later this year
might be appropriate

The market is very honest
It only hears the half of the sentence it wants to hear
The dollar got pushed down
Asian stocks and chipmakers bounced back along with it
$ZEC led the gains, up nearly 7%
$ETH also returned to around $2,520

The thing is
Tonight’s CPI is the real test
If the numbers are mild
we might actually see a run at $85,000
If they come in hot
that comment won’t be enough to withstand rising yields

So for now
I’d rather see this move as sentiment leading the way
not a confirmed trend
Before the data comes out
don’t floor it with your position size
