$QUICK is being delisted from Binance. Binance announced this afternoon Beijing time that it will halt all spot trading pairs for the token on Wednesday the week after next.
QUICK is the governance token of QuickSwap, a decentralized exchange that started on Polygon and lets users swap tokens and provide liquidity directly on-chain.
Binance didn’t specify which criteria the token failed to meet this time. It only listed the factors it considers in its periodic reviews, such as the team’s commitment, development activity, trading volume and liquidity, and community engagement.
In a bit of a contrast, QuickSwap said on X just two days ago that its platform had recorded over $12.4 billion in trading volume so far this year. It has also been talking up its plans to build on Base.
But that figure covers trading across all token pairs on the exchange. It’s a separate matter from how easily QUICK itself can be traded on centralized exchanges.
The futures market will be affected sooner: contracts will be automatically settled and delisted on Tuesday evening next week. After spot trading ends, Binance withdrawals will remain available until the end of the year.
