It’s 1 a.m. The candlesticks are green, and my eyes are red.

A look at crypto folks late at night:

① The chart-watchers: They’ve set price alerts, but won’t feel at ease until they watch that wick plunge with their own eyes.
② The trade-reviewers: Every trade they made during the day gets put “on trial” all over again late at night.
③ The learners: They have 200 tutorials saved, but first they’ll watch three hours of livestreams.
④ The all-talkers: “I saw this coming ages ago” — zero in their position, perfect in their predictions.

Here’s the truth: The market late at night is the same chart as during the day, but at night we always feel like it “has something to say.” The market never loses sleep. We’re the ones staying up. Staring at it for three more hours won’t make it go up another three points, but those dark circles will definitely be one shade darker.

So, night owls who came across this post: put down your phone and go to sleep. The sun will rise as usual tomorrow, and tomorrow’s chart will probably look just as awful. You won’t miss out by looking away for one night.
