Tonight Beijing time, Binance Pay will let AI agents book hotels for people on $BNB on-chain. You authorize it once in advance, and when it’s time to pay, there’s no need to press confirm—the AI pays on its own.
BNB is the native coin of BNB Chain. It’s commonly used to pay fees for on-chain transfers and smart contract operations.
The first service to launch is Travala’s AI booking assistant. Users authorize USDT from a self-custody wallet, tell the AI where and when they want to travel, and choose a room. The agent then completes the payment. Around 2.2 million accommodations are available to book.
The process works like this: users first sign an authorization offline. The payment toolkit provided by BNB Chain verifies the signature, balance, and spending limit, then Binance Pay settles the transaction on-chain. Binance Pay covers the on-chain fees, so users don’t need to prepare gas themselves or enter a card number.
This is noteworthy because on-chain payments have traditionally assumed that a person is present at the moment of payment. AI can search and compare prices, but in the end it still has to wait for someone to open their wallet and press confirm.
Binance says hotel bookings are just the first step. It plans to add more travel products and invite teams building AI agents, APIs, and digital services to apply to integrate with the service.
