$BTC $DUSK $BTW 🚨The Strait of Hormuz is jammed, and U.S. crude is getting “stuck” first: WTI and Brent are more than $10 apart

Just saw a breaking update—the plot in the crude oil world is getting pretty wild🍉

Capacity through the Strait of Hormuz is tight, and tanker freight rates have gone through the roof🚀
U.S. Gulf → China: VLCC freight rates have soared from $7 million–$10 million before the war to $76 million–$80 million.

I counted twice to make sure those weren’t Korean won…【😂】
What’s the point of shipping oil at this rate? Freight is almost stealing the spotlight from the oil😅

Here’s what that means:
U.S. crude can’t get out, so it’s stuck in the Americas;
Asian buyers are feeling the pinch too, having to pay more for oil from elsewhere;
and heavy crude is piling up in the Americas—a pretty awkward sight.

Now, the prices:
WTI at $92.23, Brent at $102.64.
That’s a $10.41 difference per barrel.
WTI wants to narrow the gap? Better ask freight rates if they’ll allow it😂

Who’s laughing? The tanker owners.
Frontline shares are up +34.7%, and VLCC spot rates have surged to $1.3 million a day.
Shipowners: At last, this windfall has come my way🛳️💰

So here’s the question:
Is this price gap a short-term freakout, or is it becoming the new normal?
As long as the Strait of Hormuz stays unsettled and freight rates don’t come down, WTI will probably remain “locked up” in the Americas【🙈】
