Bitcoin and Ethereum dumped hard in the middle of the night, and altcoins plunged right along with them. Many altcoins dropped over 10% in one go. Though prices recovered a little afterward, many retail traders had their positions wiped out.

This drop didn’t come out of nowhere. The Fed struck a hawkish tone, rate-hike expectations for year-end are still hanging over the market, Treasury yields remain high, and institutional money keeps flowing out. In a single week, Bitcoin ETFs saw $679 million in outflows, while Ethereum ETFs saw $542 million.

Liquidations hit $1.19 billion in a single day, including $1.06 billion in long positions. Put simply, retail traders who chased the rally and piled on leverage have been burned by the market again.
$ETH
The key levels to watch now are $81,000 for Bitcoin and $2,400 for Ethereum. If they hold, we can see how strong the rebound is.

If they break, don’t rush to buy the dip—wait for the next support level.

The market has changed. Don’t get carried away and chase altcoin rallies—they can fall brutally hard.

If you want to buy the dip, scale in gradually. Don’t go all-in.

If you’re sitting on profits, take some off the table.

When the market is good, we think about making money; when it’s bad, protecting your capital comes first.

There are always more opportunities. You don’t have to jump into every market move—don’t hand your hard-earned profits back to the market.
