Those who have been with me for a while know that TAO is an asset I’ve been following for quite some time. And it’s not simply because someone slapped the “AI” label on it.
Bittensor is building a decentralized intelligence market, with subnets focused on models, data, agents, inference, training, and computing capacity.
And this is where things start to get interesting.
AI needs processing power. Processing power needs GPUs. And GPUs depend on the semiconductor supply chain.
That’s why I follow TAO alongside the global race for chips, data centers, and compute. This doesn’t mean Bittensor has a direct partnership with NVIDIA or AMD, but there are already subnets in this ecosystem using infrastructure with NVIDIA GPUs.
AI → models → compute → GPUs → semiconductors.
And institutional investors have also started to arrive.
BitGo already offers institutional infrastructure related to TAO through Yuma/DCG, Grayscale tracks Bittensor within the crypto AI sector, and in Europe, we already have a TAO product traded on Nasdaq Stockholm.
🔥So connect the dots:
On one side, AI is growing. On the other, there’s enormous demand for compute and semiconductors.
⚔️In the middle, Bittensor is trying to create a market where intelligence, data, and computing capacity can be economically rewarded.
This doesn’t mean TAO will go up tomorrow. Even a good project can correct, move sideways, and be a terrible buy at the wrong price.
One thing is the thesis. Another is where and when we put our money.
For 2027, AI + infrastructure + compute + semiconductors remain VERY much on my radar.
And TAO remains one of the pieces on this chessboard. 🥷
