These people operated out of Kokang, Myanmar, backed by the Wei family's armed forces. They set up criminal compounds in Laukkai, recruited “investors” to move in, and provided armed protection. Telecom fraud, casinos, extortion, organizing prostitution, drug trafficking, illegal border crossings... they were involved in it all. More than 12.2 billion yuan in gambling- and fraud-related funds 😡
Even more inhuman: people involved in fraud who refused to obey were murdered, leaving two Chinese citizens dead; Chen David also used his armed power to kill indiscriminately, leaving another two Chinese citizens dead 💀
