Solana: Pando prepares its Hong Kong ETF for October 13

An HKSCC circular published on October 9, 2026, indicates that the Pando Solana ETF is set to begin trading on October 13 under ticker 2831. It specifies board lots of 100 units, trading in Hong Kong dollars, and T+2 settlement: two business days after the trade.

According to Pando, the fund will hold SOL directly and seek to track the Asia-Pacific variant of the CME CF Solana-Dollar Reference Rate, before expenses. Its strategy excludes staking, so it does not include staking rewards.

Costs warrant attention: the management fee is 0.60% per year, while estimated ongoing expenses are 1.60%. Pando caps the latter at 1.60% of average net assets from launch through October 13, 2027. Intermediary fees may add to the costs.

The exchange-traded format still carries risks: SOL trades 24 hours a day, but the units trade only during exchange hours. Their price may diverge from the value of the fund’s assets, and custody, liquidity, and index-tracking risks remain.

Market snapshot: At 18:55 UTC on October 12, Binance Spot showed SOL at 107.63 USDT (−3.49% over 24 hours) and BTC at 82,397.09 USDT (−1.49%). The new access route does not indicate how much capital it will attract or allow those price moves to be attributed to it.
