$CAP , which I flagged yesterday, has now seen that huge 20:00 bullish candle turn into a false breakout.

First, here’s what happened (Beijing time): The 20:00 hourly candle surged from 0.0934 to 0.1192, up 27.6%. Its trading volume was $258 million—dozens of times the usual level—so it certainly looked like a platform breakout. In my last post, I set 0.105 as the invalidation level: if the 1-hour candle closed below it, I’d treat the move as a false breakout.

Then the 21:00 candle immediately proved me wrong: it opened at 0.1192 and closed at 0.09734, down 18.35%, on $229 million in volume. It gave back almost all of the rally’s volume-driven move, closing well below 0.105. The 22:00 candle hovered around 0.097–0.099, with volume shrinking to just over $80 million and little strength in the bounce. At the time of writing, the price was around 0.099, and the 24-hour gain had fallen from +24% to around +5.6%.

Here’s my take: the breakout has failed, and my short-term outlook is now cautious. The funding rate is neutral at +0.005%/8h; there’s no short squeeze, and neither side is crowded. This was simply a burst of sentiment that pushed the price up before it got knocked back down. Anyone who chased the rally is now underwater above 0.11. I looked through the news and found no new catalyst. The same old narratives—exchange listing expectations and supply lockup/dilution—don’t explain this spike.

Updated invalidation level: if a 1-hour candle closes back above 0.105, today’s false-breakout call is invalidated. On the downside, the first level to watch is around 0.092, where the breakout started. If that breaks, the price will be back at its starting point.

When you see a structure like “one huge bullish candle, then the next one gives it all back,” chasing the rally is an expensive lesson. The 24-hour gain has shrunk from +24% to just over +5%, and the hype is fading fast. Don’t add to your position on a bounce and bet on a V-shaped recovery.

Risk warning: The above is only a record of market action and my personal opinion, and does not constitute investment advice. Contracts carry extremely high leverage risk; you are responsible for your own profits and losses.
