✍️ Financial Warrior Journal — #Day12 (Entry Checklist)
For a long time, I made the mistake of entering the market just because the price was moving fast. The result was always the same: impulsive entries, unnecessary losses, and frustration.
A professional trader doesn’t guess the future; they follow a proven, repeatable plan. Before pressing the buy or sell button on BTC or SOL, I run every trade through this strict 4-step filter:
☑️ 1. Define your invalidation point (Stop-Loss)
If you don’t know exactly at what price level your trading idea becomes invalid, you’re not ready to enter yet. A stop-loss isn’t a punishment; it’s the insurance premium that protects your wealth.
☑️ 2. Calculate the risk/reward ratio (minimum 1:2)
Risking $10 to make $5 is mathematically unsustainable in the long run. Always look for setups where the projected profit is double or triple the risk taken.
☑️ 3. Check liquidity and trading hours
Avoid trading in the minutes before high-impact macroeconomic announcements unless your strategy accounts for wide spreads and extreme volatility.
☑️ 4. Manage your position size (Never risk more than 1%)
No matter how “safe” an opportunity may seem, never risk more than 1% to 2% of your total capital on a single trade. Consistency comes from surviving day after day.
💡 GOLDEN RULE:
The market will be full of opportunities tomorrow. If a trade doesn’t check all 4 boxes, passing on it is the most profitable decision you can make.
