The Ethereum Foundation is moving coins again 👀
This afternoon, two wallets linked to the Foundation transferred 4,393 ETH to Kraken, worth about $11.13 million.
These wallets have quite a history: 10 years ago, they received 59,751 ETH from the Foundation, when ETH was worth just 90 cents. Over the years, they’ve gradually sent nearly 50,000 ETH to Kraken, at an average price of just $658.
$ETH is at over $2,500 today, up 2%, and doesn’t seem to have been dragged down—though a transfer doesn’t necessarily mean a sale, so for now, we’ll just keep an eye on it. The original wallets still have around 10,000 ETH untouched, so there’s still a bit hanging over the market.
