October 12, 2026 | Today’s latest market analysis: the market is as dull as ever, with capital rotating from major coins into altcoins.
Good Monday morning, everyone. Today, $BTC is back around $83,600, up 0.83% over 24 hours; $ETH is trading at $2,538, up 1.24%. BTC and ETH are entering a consolidation phase. Among altcoins, $NEAR is up 9.64%, $ENA is up 6.13%, and $ZEC is up 3.36%. Capital is starting to spread from major coins into altcoins, but this looks more like a recovery after deleveraging than the start of a new major rally.
Derivatives offer a key clue: BTC perpetual funding rates have fallen to around -0.002%, and open interest has dropped by about $748 million over the past week. Short covering has driven the rebound, but U.S. spot BTC ETFs saw just $21.1 million in inflows on Friday, while October outflows still total $386 million. ETH ETFs have seen outflows for nine consecutive trading days, totaling nearly $700 million. Spot demand is clearly weaker than the price gains suggest.
For BTC today, watch the $82,800–$84,000 range: holding above $84,000 could open the door for a rebound toward $86,000; a drop back below $82,800 could send altcoins lower first. ETH needs to break above $2,550 and see ETF outflows end to confirm relative strength.
Gold rose 1.5% last Friday to around $4,220, while the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield remains at 5.24% and Brent crude is near $104. As for macro policy, Trump has yet to make any new comments on the war with Iran. #以太坊ETF连续9日净流出 #XRP账本修复可增发XRP的漏洞
