Auto-Deleveraging (ADL) is the last line of defense in the liquidation process. It’s generally activated only when the insurance fund can’t cover losses from bankrupt positions.
Liquidations are triggered before the bankruptcy price to give liquidation orders room to fill, in the hope of closing the position before the margin is fully depleted.
