Bitcoin rose 0.93% to 83,800, Ethereum gained 1.19%, and SOL rose 1.10%. Today marks the third consecutive day of broad-based gains. All eight sectors again posted positive median returns, and three sectors had 100% of their constituents rising.

L2 scaling posted 100% breadth for the third consecutive day, with a median gain of 5.00%. STRK rose 18.6%, ZK gained 5.8%, and ARB rose 5.0%. Payments and settlements also saw 100% breadth for the third day in a row, with a median gain of 1.99%. ALGO rose 6.8%, and XLM gained 3.2%. These two sectors have shown the steadiest consistency over the past three days.

The AI sector also reached 100% breadth today, with a median gain of 3.31%. ARKM rose 6.2%, FET gained 6.0%, and GRT rose 4.1%, making AI the third sector to reach full breadth.

One divergence is worth noting. The L1 blockchain sector had the highest trading volume, at 1.07 billion, but its share of advancing tokens fell from 87% yesterday to 74%. The leaders, ICP and NEAR, each gained 11.4%, while the median was just 1.19%. This suggests that the billion-plus in volume was concentrated in a handful of tokens, with the sector showing internal divergence.

Privacy tokens gained a median 4.39%, while oracles and cross-chain tokens gained a median 3.97%. The latter was driven mainly by W’s 25.3% gain; only 78% of its nine constituents rose, so it did not have full breadth.

My take is straightforward: three sectors reached full breadth at the same time. L2 scaling and payments and settlements have maintained it for three consecutive days, while AI is the new addition today—making the market broader than yesterday. But breadth in L1 blockchains fell to 74%, suggesting that money among larger-cap assets is concentrating in a few names rather than lifting the whole market.
