In 24 hours, it surged 22.8% in one straight run. Don’t ask if I’m nervous—the volume and price action speak for themselves.

First, the chart. Starting at 12:00 on October 9, the 4-hour chart shot straight up from the 0.097 base to 0.16. The latest 4h candle is key: open 0.1667, high 0.16978—a new 30-candle high—then it plunged back to 0.146 and closed at 0.16044. A long upper wick and one bearish candle: the disagreement at these highs is now plain to see. Support is 0.12553; resistance is 0.16978.

On sentiment, don’t be fooled by the +22.8%. The funding rate is +0.01%/8h, basically flat. This isn’t a rally driven by a leveraged long squeeze; the main buying is happening on the spot market. Sentiment isn’t overheated, so there may still be room to run. But that upper wick shows there’s real selling at these levels.

For whale activity, look at the candle at 12:00 on October 10: $67.7M in volume in a single 4h candle, with a high of 0.15929 and a low of 0.12553—a candle that plunged to the bottom and then recovered. Big money tested both the buy and sell sides in a single candle. In the first half of the preceding 30 candles, volume per candle was generally $0.3M to $4.5M. Now it’s $45.3M, $67.7M, and $32.6M. That’s money coming in, not hot money just passing through.

Volume and price structure. The volume surge marked the start of the move: $8.9M at 12:00 on October 9, $34.1M at 16:00, and $45.3M at 08:00 on October 10. Volume is following price, with no divergence. The latest volume ratio is 2.25, still elevated. The breakout on heavy volume is real; the question is whether the market can absorb selling at these highs.

Candlestick details. The candle at 12:00 on October 10 looked the worst: high 0.15929, low 0.12553—the widest range of the 30 candles—and a close of 0.13228. After that deep dip, it recovered step by step: 0.14139, 0.14991, 0.16677, and now 0.16044. The low of that dip, 0.12553, is the current support. If it holds, the structure remains intact.

BAT is the token of the Brave browser ecosystem, part of the web3 advertising space. I’ve seen this kind of move before: an older coin with limited liquidity, real money comes in, and it moves in big steps. This isn’t a new-coin narrative; it’s capital flows at work.

My view: neutral. There’s little overhead supply above 0.16978, but with one bearish candle and a long upper wick, the short-term outlook is sideways at elevated levels. The funding rate is low, the volume is real, and the structure hasn’t broken, so I’m not bearish. Two signals to watch: if it holds above 0.16978 on strong volume, that’s a breakout; if it falls below 0.146, watch 0.133. If 0.12553 breaks, this move is over.

Nini’s plan: At the current price of 0.16047, grid trade between 0.146 and 0.16978—buy low and sell high. If it moves above 0.16978, switch to trend-following. Don’t panic.
