Even if they were flipping coins at random, the big-money longs shouldn’t be doing this badly.

Among whales in the US perpetual futures market, all 93 short whales are in the green—a clean 100%—with over 530,000 USDT in unrealized profits. Meanwhile, only a miserable 6.59% of the 91 long whales on the other side are profitable.

The whale showdown has turned into a one-sided rout. On top of that, spot order-book depth is paper-thin, leaving the bulls unable to mount even one decent comeback.

As long as these short whales with a perfect win rate haven’t closed their positions, any weak rebound is just a liquidity trap. Blindly buying the dip here is like handing over your money. Either follow the trend and go short, or stay completely out and watch.
