Indicator Notes|$TIA |Daily MACD|Golden Cross Above the Zero Line
Definition: MACD, developed by Gerald Appel, uses default settings of 12, 26, and 9. It measures trend strength using the difference between two EMAs, one fast and one slow.
A note on how to read it: MACD calculations vary slightly across software, and an intraday crossover may disappear by the close. Crossovers confirmed at the close are more reliable.
The point of understanding this indicator is to avoid being spooked by the numbers—not to use it to predict tops and bottoms.
