China’s State Council recently formally proposed an initiative to build a national blockchain network, aiming to enhance national governance capacity and data security through blockchain technology. According to reports, the project plans to complete an initial framework by 2025, with more than 100 companies nationwide expected to participate in pilot programs. The network will also adopt an advanced consensus mechanism to ensure transaction processing speeds of several thousand transactions per second, far exceeding those of many current commercial blockchain platforms. The National Development and Reform Commission also disclosed that it will invest more than 20 billion yuan to support the project, covering areas such as technology research and development, standards development, and promotion and application. The proposal for this national blockchain network marks another important step forward for China in blockchain technology and is expected to inject new momentum into the development of the digital economy. #StateCouncilCallsForNationalBlockchainNetwork
