$BTC What’s the point of this wick?
Bitcoin just took a sharp dive, wicking down to 80393 before bouncing right back. Now it’s hovering around 82783. That’s one long wick.
It shows that buyers stepped in around 80000, absorbing some of the panic selling.
But don’t rush to call a reversal.
There’s heavy resistance overhead. The 83500–84500 range was a consolidation zone on the way down, and plenty of traders got trapped there. If the price rebounds into this area, it’ll likely get pushed back down.
For now, this is just an oversold bounce. After a sharp drop, sideways action could mean either a bottom is forming or the downtrend is pausing before continuing. There’s been no high-volume breakout and no clear bottom structure yet. Treat it as a bounce for now, not a reversal.
There are just two key levels.
80393 must hold. If it breaks, a new round of selling could begin.
Only if the price holds above 83500–84500 will it have a chance to move above 85500.
Two things to remember when trading:
Don’t chase the price.
If it pulls back near 82000 and holds, you can try a small long position, with a stop-loss below 80300.
If it rebounds above 83500 but loses momentum, that could be a short opportunity, targeting a move back to 82000.
One last thing:
The 80393 low is the bulls’ last shred of dignity.
The 83500 level is the bears’ last line of defense.
Whoever breaks first admits defeat.
The market is moving fast, everyone. For specific levels and position sizing, find Bo Ge on my profile.
