The coin at the top of the net inflow rankings has a market cap listed at under $1 and is down 100% over the past 24 hours.
It tops today’s BSC Smart Money net inflow rankings. It launched just five hours ago and carries a low-liquidity tag.
The rankings list 58 coins: 29 inflows and 29 outflows. But the money isn’t evenly distributed: the top two account for 62% of inflows, and the top five for 83%. Total inflows come to $130,700.
Eight of the top ten have market caps below $20 million, and five are below $10 million. The coin in fourth place is up more than 2,600-fold in 24 hours. It launched 18 minutes ago and has the highest possible risk rating: four out of four.
Meanwhile, some of the largest coins are seeing outflows. One coin with a market cap of over $900 million has a net outflow of $9,664.
Switch to the seven-day trader profit rankings, and the picture looks different. Two of the top three addresses traded just four coins in seven days. One made $68,600 with a 50% win rate; the other made $51,300 with a 75% win rate. Almost all their profits came from the two large-cap coins BTC and ETH.
The other two cast a wide net: one traded 1,008 coins and made $44,600; the other traded 112 coins and made $40,000. The second-place trader is more extreme: across 876 trades, almost all profits came from a single coin, and the win rate was just 9.65%.
Taken together, the two rankings point in different directions. The inflow ranking records where money is flowing today: into small caps and new coins. The profit ranking shows whether money is still there seven days later: it’s the large caps that remain.
I look at the win rates and number of coins traded in the profit rankings first, then at the market-cap distribution in the inflow rankings. I only treat it as a signal when the two corroborate each other; if only one side moves, I consider it noise.
The data comes from the on-chain rankings endpoint for Binance’s official skills. Snapshot taken at noon today.
