Microsoft’s efficiency at fixing loopholes this time is just incredible. According to IT Home on October 10, source @TheBobPony revealed that Microsoft has blocked, server-side, a workaround in the initial setup (OOBE) of Windows 11 26H2 that let users bypass the mandatory Microsoft account sign-in by clicking the “Learn more” link. You used to be able to easily set up a local account without entering commands or disconnecting from the internet, but now Microsoft has gone and closed off this workaround too. This awful design really seems determined to make things as frustrating as possible.
