NEAR just announced that accounts now support quantum-resistant ML-DSA signatures.
No need to move your coins or change your address. Just make an on-chain transaction to switch keys.
But it’s opt-in. Existing accounts aren’t quantum-resistant unless they switch, and wallets need to support it too.
NEAR is up nearly 7% today, trading around $5. I’ll take this as a positive news catalyst, but I’m not chasing the move.
