Reviewing my DeFi watchlist tonight, AAVE has put itself in the trending topics. Technically, I’m leaning bearish and staying cautious—the group’s gains have run out of steam.

When I wrote about JUP and ENA this afternoon, the whole group was surging, with ENA and LDO leading the way. Now CRV is barely putting in an appearance, LDO, MKR, and LINK are only slightly in the green, and AAVE is flat. There’s less money stepping in at every turn.

AAVE has gained a little over the past 60 days, but the monthly chart overhead still hasn’t budged—even the old DeFi heavyweight can’t withstand being drained in rotation.

My rule: if it rebounds to the 172.28 daily high without volume, I’ll keep selling into it. Only a reclaim of that level would put a recovery on the table.

It’s consolidating near the 167.63 seven-day line; it needs to hold for there to be a chance. 159.85 is the sentiment floor for this move. If that breaks, I’m looking lower—where the real support is.
