Binance is transferring its main operations serving residents of Brazil to Brazilian companies within its own group. The change will be completed by October 29, 2026, and is intended to bring the platform into compliance with the rules of the Central Bank of Brazil.
STEP 1 — ACCOUNT MIGRATION TO THE BRAZILIAN STRUCTURE
Users residing in Brazil will have an individual account with Binance Brasil Corretora de Câmbio e Valores Mobiliários S.A., CNPJ 68.757.681/0001-70.
This company will be responsible for the payment account and transactions carried out in Brazilian reais.
Virtual asset services authorized in Brazil will be provided by BBrasil Sociedade Prestadora de Serviços de Ativos Virtuais Ltda., CNPJ 68.627.500/0001-91.
In practice, Brazilian clients' primary accounts will operate within the Brazilian regulatory framework.
STEP 2 — USERS WILL NOT NEED TO OPEN ANOTHER ACCOUNT
The migration will take place within the platform itself.
Users will not need to create a new account, manually transfer their assets, or repeat the entire identity verification process. If any information is out of date, Binance will request that it be updated through the app or website.
Previous history will remain available, along with new statements and reports.
STEP 3 — USING THE PLATFORM WILL REMAIN MUCH THE SAME
In general, the way users access, buy, sell, and view their assets will remain the same in the app and on the website.
Crypto-asset deposit addresses will remain the same. Existing funds and assets will not be automatically sold or converted as a result of the migration.
Technical custody of the assets will continue to be handled by a specialized Binance Group company located in Abu Dhabi, as permitted under Brazilian regulations.
STEP 4 — MANDATORY RISK PROFILE QUESTIONNAIRE
Clients will receive a four-question questionnaire to determine their risk profile.
After receiving the notice, users will have 30 days to respond. During that period, their accounts will continue to operate normally. Once the deadline has passed, they will need to complete the questionnaire to make new trades.
A profile may be classified as conservative, moderate, or aggressive. This classification is not an investment recommendation.
STEP 5 — PRODUCTS THAT WILL BE RESTRICTED
As of October 27, 2026, the following will no longer be offered to residents of Brazil:
Loans;
Binance Pool;
Cloud Mining;
Margin;
Launchpool;
Megadrop;
HODLer Airdrops;
Alpha 2.0.
Depending on the product, existing positions will be placed in reduce-only or close-only mode. Users should follow the specific instructions provided on the platform.
Binance will not offer derivatives, including futures contracts, through its Brazilian operation.
STEP 6 — ASSETS TO BE DELISTED IN BRAZIL
As of October 27, 2026, the following will be delisted for users in Brazil:
XVG, USDE, USTC, DCR, DUSK, PIVX, BB, MANTRA, ONE, GMT, TFUEL, ZIL, ONT, RVN, ACX, HIT, PYR, VANRY, VIC, ICX, SCRT, and STORJ.
After that date, any remaining balances will continue to be available for withdrawal or for the alternatives offered by the platform.
STEP 7 — TRANSACTIONS IN BRAZILIAN REAIS AND PIX
Transactions in Brazilian reais will be handled by Binance Brasil Corretora.
Initially, direct deposits and withdrawals will remain limited to accounts held in the same name. Binance plans to introduce a more comprehensive Pix Area, with payments, third-party receipts, QR codes, Pix keys, receipts, and transaction limits, subject to a subsequent announcement.
STEP 8 — INTERNATIONAL CRYPTO-ASSET TRANSFERS
As of November 1, 2026, deposits and withdrawals involving individuals, companies, exchanges, or wallets located abroad will require additional information.
Users must provide:
The purpose of the transfer;
Who the sender or beneficiary is;
The counterparty's identifying information;
Where applicable, whether the company belongs to the same economic group.
International withdrawals will only be sent after the questionnaire has been completed. International deposits may remain pending until the information is provided.
These transfers will be reported monthly to the Central Bank. Transfers carried out exclusively within Brazil will not be affected by this change.
STEP 9 — HOW TAXATION WILL WORK IN BRAZIL
The Central Bank's regulations did not introduce a new tax.
As of October 29, 2026, assets and transactions carried out through the Brazilian structure will generally be treated as investments in virtual assets located in Brazil.
When the total amount of disposals in a month—sales and swaps—is up to R$ 35,000, capital gains will be exempt from tax. If the total disposed exceeds R$ 35,000, all taxable profit for that month, not just the amount above the threshold, will be subject to progressive capital gains tax rates ranging from 15% to 22.5%.
Exchanging one cryptocurrency for another is also considered a disposal for this calculation.
STEP 10 — DECRIPTO: DO BINANCE ACCOUNT HOLDERS NEED TO SUBMIT A REPORT?
For transactions carried out through Binance Brasil's regulated products, clients will not need to submit a separate monthly DeCripto report covering those same transactions.
BBrasil Sociedade Prestadora de Serviços de Ativos Virtuais Ltda. itself will be responsible for reporting activities and transactions carried out through the Brazilian structure to the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service, in accordance with Normative Instruction RFB No. 2.291/2025.
Therefore, for transactions carried out within the Brazilian account:
BINANCE WILL SUBMIT THE DECRIPTO REPORT TO THE BRAZILIAN FEDERAL REVENUE SERVICE. CLIENTS WILL NOT NEED TO SUBMIT THE SAME MONTHLY REPORT AGAIN.
Binance also states that, since July 2026, it has been submitting monthly reports on transactions covered by the Brazilian reporting obligation.
STEP 11 — THE DECRIPTO EXEMPTION DOES NOT ELIMINATE OTHER OBLIGATIONS
The fact that Binance reports transactions does not mean that clients no longer have tax obligations.
Users will remain responsible for:
Check the information and keep account statements;
Track the acquisition cost of assets;
Calculate gains and losses;
Calculate and pay any tax due;
Declare balances, assets, income, and gains on the annual income tax return when required to do so;
Provide information about transactions not covered by reporting by the Brazilian entity.
DeCripto is an information-reporting obligation. It does not replace the calculation and payment of taxes or the annual income tax return.
STEP 12 — IMPORTANT EXCEPTION: PRODUCTS HELD ABROAD
Some products may remain linked to Binance's international structure, operated by Nest Exchange Limited in Abu Dhabi.
These transactions will be considered to have taken place abroad. According to guidance published by Binance, users themselves will remain responsible for reporting them to the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service when international transactions not covered by Brazilian reporting exceed R$ 35,000 in a month, either individually or combined.
Gains from products held abroad are subject to the rules applicable to foreign investments: annual taxation at a rate of 15%, with no monthly R$ 35,000 exemption.
Therefore, it would not be accurate to simply claim that “Binance clients will never need to file DeCripto again.” The correct wording is:
CLIENTS WILL NOT NEED TO FILE DECRIPTO REPORTS FOR TRANSACTIONS CARRIED OUT THROUGH THE BRAZILIAN STRUCTURE AND ALREADY REPORTED BY BINANCE. INTERNATIONAL TRANSACTIONS, SELF-CUSTODY WALLETS, DEXs, AND OTHER SITUATIONS NOT COVERED MUST BE ASSESSED SEPARATELY.
STEP 13 — STATEMENTS AND DOCUMENTS
Binance Brasil will provide annual statements and transaction histories similar to the tax statements issued by Brazilian financial institutions.
Users must keep these documents, along with records of deposits, withdrawals, transfers, purchases, sales, and swaps.
For products held with the international entity, the platform's own transaction histories will remain available, but tax tracking will remain the user's responsibility.
FINAL SUMMARY
Binance will conduct its primary business activities in Brazil through Brazilian companies within the group.
Clients will be migrated without needing to open a new account, their history will remain available, and the overall platform experience will be preserved. However, there will be product restrictions, certain assets will be delisted, a risk profile questionnaire will be required, and new procedures will apply to international transfers.
For transactions regulated by Binance Brasil, Binance itself will submit the DeCripto report to the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service, so clients will not need to submit the same transactions again.
This exemption applies only to the monthly reporting already carried out by the platform. It does not exempt the client from calculating taxes, keeping records, declaring assets and income on their income tax return, or reporting international and foreign transactions not covered by Binance Brasil's reporting.
