Why would anyone be willing to lock up CRV for a full 4 years? Plenty of people can't answer that!
Under Curve's veCRV model, users lock up CRV in exchange for veCRV. The longer the lock-up period, the more veCRV they receive, with a maximum lock-up of 4 years.
The cost of locking up tokens is giving up liquidity: even if the token price plunges during the lock-up period, you can't sell—you can only get your tokens back when the lock-up expires.
Don't place an order just because everyone around you is buying.

Just my personal opinion—don't take it too seriously.
