🚨 LEDGER WALLETS SUSPECTED OF BEING ATTACKED, REPORTED LOSSES EXCEED $86 MILLION

Many users in Southeast Asia are believed to have lost assets on the Bitcoin, Ethereum, and TRON networks, with reported losses totaling more than $86 million.

One theory under investigation is a supply-chain attack, in which devices may have been tampered with or counterfeited before reaching users. However, the cause still needs to be verified.

The information also mentions distributor CryptoBillis in Malaysia, the Philippines, and Indonesia. Anyone who recently purchased a device through this channel should follow official announcements and stop using it temporarily if a related warning is issued.

Most importantly, don’t assume that all Ledger devices are affected. If you suspect there may be a problem with your device, prioritize protecting your assets by creating a new wallet on a trusted device with a new seed phrase. Never enter your seed phrase on a website or send it to anyone.

In crypto, hardware wallets help reduce risk but do not completely eliminate threats from counterfeit devices, supply-chain processes, or user error. Verify the source of the information and the scope of the impact before concluding that this is a hack affecting all of Ledger.
