KAIA is up 42%—has the news already been fully priced in?
Before 16:00 today, $KAIA had just $10,000–$30,000 in hourly trading volume on Binance Spot, with the price hovering around 0.0379.
During the 16:00 hour, a major South Korean trading platform announced it was listing KAIA, with KRW, BTC, and USDT trading pairs. The price surged to 0.0518 within an hour, with about $7.88 million in trading volume that hour.
The market opened over there at 17:30. On Binance, the price surged to 0.068 in under two hours, then turned down. It’s now around 0.0545, down about 20% from the high. Hourly volume has also fallen from $7.88 million to less than $1 million.
The reason for the rise is clear. The question is that buying was concentrated in the few hours around the listing, and after trading opened, there was no one stepping in to buy.
When something rises 40% in a day, I’d rather keep an eye on $KAIA than on those where the reason is impossible to find. With KAIA, it’s clear where the price rose and where to sell. I’ll wait until trading volume stabilizes before deciding.
